Mid Bun

Here are some images I got from Google showing a few different variations of a mid bun. You can choose to use a bun making device (donut, snap loop, etc.), braid the hair first then wrap it (this is what the comp team does!), or twist the hair then wrap. If you’re having a hard time getting it to stay nicely, I recommend a hair net; it helps a lot with keeping stray hairs in place. Regardless of method, start with a ponytail at the back of the head right around the top of the ear. If your dancer has bangs, I recommend pinning them back with bobby pins and spraying them down in order to keep their hair out of their eyes while they perform.
